«У палача» - скромный бар, находящийся (#1) в подвале дома, примыкающего прямо к Михальским воротам (Michalská brána) – одной из главных достопримечательностей Старого города (Staré Mesto) – при этом до остальных отсюда просто рукой подать, например, до Главной площади (Hlavné námestie) со всеми её знаковыми местами (Ратуша, Чумил, Фонтан Максимилиана, наполеоновский солдат и т.д.) отсюда 4 минуты неспешным шагом. Конечно, можно найти место и поближе, но найдёте ли вы место подешевле – вот в чем вопрос?

Цены (#2) здесь, несмотря на примыкание бара к туристической тропе, приятные, судите сами, господа: разливная Kofola 0,3 - €0,60; Borovička 0,04 – €0,90; Rizling vlašský 0,1 – €0,70; чешский Kozel 0,5 - €1,39 - сравнивали с иными заведениями, и разница в цене начиналась с 30% и достигала аж 200%. Скорее всего это объясняется неброским интерьером, местами откровенной обшарпанностью (особенно, WC) и лёгкой захламленностью. Но всё-таки этот антураж (#4) создаёт какую-то свою уникальную атмосферу, по своему даже уютную а, самое главное, такое отношение к дизайну не сказывается на качестве напитков: всё было свежим, вкусным, каким и должно было быть. Пропустить такое качество (#3) за такую-то стоимость – просто грех!

Хороший показатель, что сюда заходят местные. Вообще складывается впечатление, что это бар «для своих» - перед единственным телевизором в конце зала, стоят пять столиков и, следящие за ходом матча гости, сидят настолько тесно, что практически касаются друг друга локтями, вряд ли такое вторжение в личное пространство воспринималось бы нормально среди малознакомых людей  или фанатов противоборствующих команд. Дополняет местную весёлую публику (#5) дружелюбный бармен, да, кстати, официантов нет, платили мы и забирали всё сами на стойке.

"Executioner’s" - a modest basement bar in a building which adjoining directly to Michael's Gate (#1) – one of the main sights of the Old Town (Staré Mesto)  - at the same time it’s not far from other key places, e.g., the Main square (Hlavné námestie) with all its sights (The Town hall, Chumil, the Maksimilian's Fountain, the Napoleonic soldier, etc.) – about 4 min from here. Of course, it’s possible to find the place closer, but will you find the place cheaper? That is the question!
In spite of the fact that the pub adjoins a tourist track, the prices are pleasant here, judge for yourselves, sirs: 0,3 ml of draft Kofola - €0,6; 0,04 ml of Borovička - €0,9; 0,1 ml of Rizling vlašský - €0,7; half a liter of Czech Kozel - €1,39 – we’ve compared it to other bars, and the difference between the prices began with 30% and reached even 200%. Probably it is explained by inconspicuous interior, partly dilapidated (especially, the WC) and a little cluttered.

But after all this surroundings creates some unique atmosphere, even cozy and, the most important thing: such attitude towards design does not affect to the quality of drinks: everything was fresh, tasty – was how it should be. To pass such quality (#3) for such cost – is just a sin!

It is a good indicator that locals come here. In general there is an impression that it is the "clubby" bar - in front of the only one TV at the end of the hall, there are five little tables and the guests watching the match, sit so closely that they practically touch each other by elbows. I doubt whether such invasion into personal space would be perceived normally among unfamiliar people or fans of contradictory teams. A friendly bartender is a nice addition to the local cheerful audience, yes, by the way, there’re no waiters, we paid and took it by ourselves at the bar.
