Здесь есть разливной Шариш!!!
Шариш тёмное (Šariš tmavý) – это словацкое пиво, которое меня буквально шокировало - оно со всего размаха влетело в мою жизнь и сбило с трона личного топа восседавшего там долгое время тёмного чешского Бернарда (Bernard tmavý). Питкое, как квасок, но, в тоже время солидное. Его мягкий, бархатный сладковато-карамельный вкус через желудок попадает – нет, не в сердце - он западает прямо в душу и надолго там остаётся. Но больше всего мне запомнился его запах – пахнет, простите, шмалью, я сначала думал, что это случайность, но брал в разных местах и этот непередаваемый амбре присутствовал.
Помимо отечественного пива в «Beer Palace» можно отведать словацкое вино, мы брали «Вельтлинское зеленое» (Veltlínské zelené). Из винограда более известного нам, как Грюнер Велтлинер (Grüner Veltliner): приятное лёгкое вино с нотками фруктов, миндаля и еле заметного перца – буду по нему скучать.
Паб притаился с тыльной стороны соседствующего со Словацким нацтеатром (Slovenské národné divadlo) здания, а это без 3х минут центр Старого города (Staré Mesto),т.е. в пешей досягаемости от многих достопримечательностей. Может быть, этим и объясняются завышенные цены, например, в баре «Pulitzer» «Шариш» на 30% дешевле, а свиные ребрышки аж на 60%, хотя друг от друга они находятся в 10 минутах – делайте выводы.
Рёбра в меду понравились (особенно, соленья к ним), но, как я уже сказал, есть места, где подешевле (да и повкусней).
Учитывая, что кроме нас в ресторане (кроме нас) была только одна небольшая компания, уже поглощавшая заказ, обслуживание показалось медленным. В самом зале темновато или, если говорить более оптимистично, как я писал про «Чёрного пса» (Čierny pes), интимно. Деревянная массивная мебель, высокие потолки, простор, интересное оформление стен и наличие плазмы со спортивной трансляцией – несомненные плюсы! Неприятно удивило только то, что в туалете не работал свет и что с этим никто ничего делать не собирался (я интересовался!). Можно ли это оправдать тем, что мы пришли в 22 вечера? Не знаю, но желанным гостем я себя не особо почувствовал.
Короче, удобно добраться, хороший выбор вкусных блюд и напитков, приятный интерьер, но неоправданные цены и подозрительная клиентоориентированность.
There is draft Sharish!!!
Dark Sharish – it’s a sort Slovak beer that literally shocked me – it has broken itself into my life with all his force and dethroned dark Czech Bernard from its throne - my own top list - in which it has been for a long time. Drinkable like kvass, but stout at the same time. Its soft, velvety, sweet, caramel flavor gets through the stomach - no, not in heart - he just sinks into the soul and stays there for a long time. But most of all I remember the bouquet - the smell, I'm sorry, of ganja, at first I thought it was an accident, but took in different places, and the indescribable smell was presented.
In addition to the native beer you may try Slovak wines in «Beer Palace», we took Veltlínské zelené. It’s produced from grapes better known to us as Green Veltliner (Grüner Veltliner): nice light wine with notes of fruits, almond and barely noticeable pepper – I’ll miss him.
The pub is hiding on the back side of the building next to Slovak National Theatre, and it is 3 minutes from the center of the Old Town, i.e. in walking distance to many attractions. Maybe this explains the high prices, for example, “Sharish” in the “Pulitzer” bar at 30% cheaper, and pork ribs for less at 60%, although they are within 10 minutes from each other - so make your conclusions.
We’ve liked the ribs in honey (especially pickles), but, as I said, there are places where the course is cheaper (and even tastier).
Taking into account that there was (except us) only one group of people, that was gulping down its order, service seemed slow.
It’s too dark in the placement or, if we talk more optimistic, intimate, as I’ve written about “Čierny pes”. Massive wooden furniture, high ceilings, open space, interesting design of the walls and a TV with a sports broadcast – are the undoubted advantages! It was an unpleasant surprise that the light in the WC didn’t turn on and nobody was going to fix that (I’ve asked). May the fact that we came late - at 22 pm – justify this? I don’t know, but I didn’t feel myself as a desired guest.
In short, there are a good location, good selection of delicious food and drinks, nice interior, but unjustified prices and suspicious customer orientation.
